As with all things, signs require maintenance to keep them lighting correctly and looking good. A dirty unlit or badly lit sign is a reflection of your business and can turn customers away. We have been involved in maintaining signs for many years now especially when it comes to illuminated signs. The difference that is achieved with a wash down, new lamps and starters to an illuminated sign is amazing. You really don’t notice the gradual decline in illumination until it is just about blacked out. We suggest a period of every 3 years, or more frequently depending on the usage, as some signs are on all day and all night.
We have found that signs are placed in some of the hardest to get at locations and can be dangerous work if not approached with complete professionalism, therefore we use access equipment where necessary. This may involve using boom lifts, cherry pickers, scissor lifts and rope access in some situations. This is not a job for the faint hearted and our highly skilled professionals thrive on it.
